At Waverly-Shell Rock (W-SR), we believe every child has the potential to lead. We teach leadership, responsibility, and respect to help students grow into confident, capable individuals. Students also take part in Growing People Skills (GPS) lessons with our school counselor, helping them develop emotional growth and problem-solving skills.

**New at Waverly-Shell Rock: Transitional Kindergarten Starting in 2025-26**
What is Transitional Kindergarten?
Starting in the 2025-2026 school year, Waverly-Shell Rock will introduce a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program at one of our new elementary schools. This program is designed to help children bridge the gap between preschool and kindergarten, often benefitting children with summer or fall birthdays by giving them extra time and support to prepare for school success.
What Can Parents Expect With Transitional Kindergarten?
A language-rich environment with activities to build communication skills.
Hands-on learning that encourages curiosity and creativity while focusing on core concepts.
Support for emotional and social development, helping children navigate relationships and build self-awareness.
A smooth transition to kindergarten, leaving children confident and ready for success.
Class size will be limited to ensure individualized attention. Priority will be given to the youngest students whose families have indicated interest and completed registration by January 30, 2025.
TK students will follow the same daily schedule as other kindergarten classes, ensuring a consistent routine. The program is also aligned with the district’s K-12 calendar, making it easier for families to plan their school year.

Families Currently in the WSR district:- Login to the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus to register. Forgot your password? Contact your child’s school secretary for login information.
Walk-in registration is available for those who need assistance with registration. There will be limited space available.

Please provide proof of age, immunizations, and Infinite Campus username & password (if you already have students in the district). Birth certificates and immunization records can be uploaded into the online registration form, dropped off, or mailed.
