Super Soccer Cooper at Recess!!

Our 4th graders had an incredible experience helping out at the food bank! They worked together in an assembly line to pack over 560 bags for the backpack program, ensuring students have meals over the weekend when they're off from school. It was heartwarming to see our little Christmas angels working so hard to make sure others have food during the holiday season. A huge thank you to our students and staff for making this such a meaningful and impactful experience!

'Tis the Season of Giving

Mrs. Lee’s 1st grade class has been busy this week creating Thanksgiving crowns, participating in Thanksgiving learning centers, weaving placemats, and crafting Pilgrim table toppers! Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving from our class to you!

Students have been very dedicated to getting their miles in even in the wind, cold, SNOW, and on a temporary course while the fence gets put up! They have done an awesome job! Thanks to Marj Spree and Jen Soldwisch for helping at noon recess to make this happen

More pictures from our Veterans Day assembly

We were excited to welcome Nick Riley to Prairie West today! Nick, a local veteran, shared his personal story and experiences with our students, offering a powerful perspective on the meaning of Veterans Day. This visit was a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about the sacrifices made by those who have served our country and to honor their bravery. Thank you, Nick, for your service and for taking the time to speak with us today!

2nd-4th graders learned how to play chess during Library time! ♟️ It was so much fun watching them learn the rules and strategies. Kindergarten and 1st graders were taught how to set up a chessboard—gotta start with the basics! 😊

Prairie West 3rd and 4th grade students have started Mileage Club this year at school. They are tracking walking and running laps during the noon recess around our track outside. Students earn tokens for miles they have traveled. Be sure to ask them to tell you all about it!
